Course Description
This course introduces students to the rich and diverse tradition of Azerbaijani children’s literature. Students analyze classic and contemporary works—including picture books, seasonal narratives, children’s poetry, fables, and age-appropriate prose—to understand their educational, cultural, and developmental significance. Through literary analysis, thematic interpretation, and interdisciplinary approaches, future teachers explore how high-quality children's literature supports cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional development. The course also focuses on selecting appropriate texts and designing effective reading experiences that foster a love of reading and a strong aesthetic sensibility among young learners.
