Background

Ulvi Hajiyev was born in 1992 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He completed both his Bachelor’s and
Master’s degrees at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, specializing in folk
instrument performance (garmon).
Throughout his professional career, he has worked as a music teacher at various
educational institutions. In 2013, he represented Azerbaijan at an international festival in
Turkey. He has participated in numerous concert programs and music festivals, promoting
Azerbaijani folk instrumental traditions.
Since 2024, he has been working as a garmon lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh
University. He has performed at official university concerts and at the “Kharibulbul”
International Music Festival.
He actively contributes to the preservation and development of national musical heritage.
