Background

Nargiz Mansurova was born in 1964 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She began her piano studies at a
children’s music school and later graduated with distinction from the Asaf Zeynalli Music
College and the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Conservatory.
During her student years, she actively performed in different regions of Azerbaijan and
abroad. In 1986, she received a prize at a scientific-performance competition among higher
education institutions.
Since 1988, she has been engaged in pedagogical activity. For many years, she worked at the
Baku Music Academy, where she trained numerous professional pianists whose
achievements include awards at national and international competitions. In 2021, she was
awarded the honorary title “Honored Teacher” of Azerbaijan.
She currently works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh University.
