Fehruz Mammadov
Background
Fehruz Mammadov was born on 23 August 1972 in the village of Abdal, Aghdam district. He completed his secondary education in his native village (1979–1990) and began his formal musical training at the Khan Shushinski Music School in Aghdam between 1985 and 1990. Earlier, in 1984–1985, he performed with the renowned “Karabakh Nightingales” ensemble, marking the beginning of his professional artistic path.
From 1994 to 1998, Mammadov pursued higher education at the Baku Academy of Music. He commenced his pedagogical career in 2000 at Music School No. 25 named after Rafiq Babayev. In 2003, he was recognized for his distinguished performance of the “Rast” dastgah presented at the “Dunya” Concert Hall. In 2005, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in cultural and patriotic initiatives, receiving several certificates of merit for his contributions to the moral and aesthetic education of military personnel. He completed his Master’s degree at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory (2011–2013). Since June 2023, he has served as Director of the Aghdam Music College. From 2024 onward, he has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh University, actively participating in national and state-level cultural events.
