Fagan Hasanli
Background
Fagan Hasanli was born in 1990 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
He graduated with honors from the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy,
completing both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under the guidance
of Professor Tarlan Seyidov, Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan.
In 2006, he was awarded the Grand Prix at a national competition.
In 2010, he won First Prize at an international competition in Bulgaria
and First Prize at the First Gara Garayev International Scientific-Performance Competition
in Baku.
In 2019, he became the winner of the Vaja Chachava International Competition in Tbilisi.
He is the first performer of Gara Garayev’s “Three-Voice Fugue”
and Jahangir Garayev’s “12 Tuning Forks” cycle, premiered at the VII Gabala International
Festival.
He has performed in the USA, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and other
countries.
In 2019, he accompanied world-renowned pianist Evgeny Bronfman
within the framework of the Mstislav Rostropovich International Festival.
He currently works as a lecturer at Karabakh University.
