Bahruz Zeynalov
Background
Bahruz Zeynalov was born in 1990 in Khachmaz, Azerbaijan.
He began his musical education in tar performance at the Khachmaz Music School
and later continued at the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School.
Between 2007 and 2011, he completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Azerbaijan National
Conservatory
and earned his Master’s degree between 2014 and 2016.
In 2005, he became a laureate of the Ahsan Dadashov Republican Competition.
In 2013, he won First Prize at the III International Mugham Festival.
Since 2018, he has collaborated with People’s Artist Isfar Sarabski.
In 2021, he performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival,
representing Azerbaijani music internationally.
He has presented concert programs as a tar and oud performer
in France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Turkey, and other countries.
He worked as a faculty member at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory from 2024 to 2025. He has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Instrumental Performance at Qarabağ University since 2025.
