Background

Aida Hasanovna Hasanov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1974, she was
admitted to the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School and graduated
in 1985. In the same year, she entered the Piano Faculty of the Azerbaijan
State Conservatory and graduated in 1990 from the Uzeyir Hajibeyov Azerbaijan
State Conservatory, specializing in piano performance under Professor
Tarlan Seyidov.
She began her academic career in 1990 as a piano instructor at the school-studio
affiliated with the Azerbaijan State Conservatory. Since 1993, she has worked
as a concertmaster at the Folk Instruments Department, actively participating
in departmental events and receiving certificates of appreciation for her work.
Between 2001 and 2003, she served as Deputy Director of the G. Sharoyev
11-Year Music School.
Since 2003, she has held positions as lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate
professor at the Piano Department of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
In 2015, she defended her PhD dissertation entitled “Hymns and Odes in the Works
of Azerbaijani Composers” and in 2017 was awarded the degree of Doctor of
Philosophy in Art Studies. Her research articles have been published in
national and international academic journals, and she has presented at
various conferences. Since 2024, she has been serving as Senior Lecturer
at the Department of Instrumental Performance at Karabakh University.
