Course Description
This course aims to explore human experience and the moral, social, and emotional dimensions of illness through art, literature, history, and philosophy. It develops students’ empathy, listening, and observational capacities, and strengthens moral responsibility, compassion, and ethical reflection in doctor–patient relationships. By engaging with humanistic knowledge, students learn to consider human values in medical decision-making and to apply patient-centred care within broader socio-cultural contexts.
