Course Description

This course is aimed at developing students’ skills in musical arrangement and the use of digital audio technologies. Throughout the course, the fundamental functions of modern digital audio software are systematically studied, including MIDI and audio recording principles, audio file processing, editing, and the basics of mixing and sound production.

The course focuses on adapting musical works for various instrumental and vocal ensembles, creating arrangements of basic to intermediate complexity, establishing timbral balance, and using sound effects purposefully and creatively. In addition, students acquire practical skills in producing phonograms, accompaniment materials, and didactic audio resources applicable in educational and performance contexts.
