Admissions Process

Admission to higher education institutions across Azerbaijan, including Qarabağ University, is a competitive process and is organized by the State Examination Center (SEC). Applicants compete in an equal, merit-based process, choosing their preferred major and university independently. Admission is determined by performance in the centralized entrance examinations, held annually in two stages.

Note: All applicants must pay a participation fee to participate in the centralized entrance examinations. The recent high-school graduates are exempt of payment for their first attempts in the second stage of centralized examinations.

Students who hold a state-recognized of certificate of full secondary, vocational or higher education are eligible for undergraduate programs at Qarabağ University.

Note: Current students of higher or vocational education institutions (except those in their final years of study) are not eligible to participate in the admissions process.

Note: Winners of international and national subject Olympiads, international competitions and contests may be admitted to Qarabağ University out of competition. The list of Olympiads and detailed information on relevant specialties and acceptance of documents are reflected in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 229.
