Tahmasib Abbasov is a specialist in clinical psychology. He holds a BA from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (2014-2018) and an MA from Istanbul University (2019-2022).

He has an academic and professional background in psychology, with experience at the Scientific Research Institute of Psychology, where he has been engaged in research activities and has also worked as a clinical psychologist. His work combines academic research with applied clinical practice.

His research focuses on clinical psychology, psychological well-being and educational psychology, particularly academic self-efficacy, procrastination, locus of control and school satisfaction. He has contributed to several studies, including “Academic Self-Efficacy, Academic Procrastination, and Well-being: A Mediation Model with a Large Sample of Azerbaijan”, “Azerbaijani Adaptation of the Perceived School Experience Scale”, “A Structural Equation Modelling of Academic Locus of Control, Procrastination and Their Impact on School Satisfaction”, and “Azerbaijani Validation of the High-School Satisfaction Scale”.
