Nargiz Ismayilova
Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations
Nargiz Arif gizi Ismayilova was born in 1988 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She completed her secondary education at School No. 275 in the Surakhani district of Baku from 1995 to 2006. She earned her bachelor's degree in International Trade from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) in 2010 and later pursued an Executive MBA through a joint program offered by Maastricht University in the Netherlands and ADA University in Azerbaijan (2014–2016). Additionally, she is an alumna of the Management Development Program at the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF).
Ismayilova has over a decade of experience in managing institutional development and organizational transformation projects. She has worked on programs funded by entities such as the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), British Petroleum (BP), and SOCAR Downstream Management. She has also contributed to international projects led by organizations such as the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the World Bank, and the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan, serving as both an expert and project manager.
In addition to her professional expertise, Ismayilova has actively participated in various social initiatives. She has delivered training sessions on project portfolio management to ASAN and DOST volunteers and collaborated with institutions such as the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs, the Regional Development Public Union, and the "Wowoman" platform. Her efforts have focused on empowering women through personal and professional development initiatives and supporting their employment opportunities.
A winner of the 2nd "Yüksəliş" competition, Ismayilova has also held key leadership roles, including serving as Head of the Project Management Department and Deputy Chair of the Board of the Education Development Fund (EDF).
By the order of the Minister of Science and Education dated July 29, 2024, he was appointed Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations at Karabakh University.
